About the speakers

Rianda Makram

As Head of Digital Services, Rianda is responsible for the management and delivery of Markel Business Hub, the company’s digital service. She leads a cross-functional team with an agile approach that places Markel’s end users at the heart of everything it does.

With over 20 years of experience, Rianda is a dual-qualified lawyer, having qualified as an Attorney in South Africa and a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Rianda manages Markel Law’s product strategy and backlog, working closely with stakeholders and clients.

Paul Bateman

Paul has over 38 years of experience in the insurance industry with the last 25 being focused on legal insurance and services. Paul currently heads up the Account Management team within the Partnerships division of Markel UK.
