Member Support Representative

Team: Membership Team 
Department: Membership
Hours: Full Time: 35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm 
Location: Central London Office (hybrid model with 1 day in office) 
Responsible for: N/A 
Report to: Head of Membership

About the role 

IPSE’s Membership Department is looking for a new member of the team to join them! This is more than just a customer service job and is a great fit for someone who is excited to learn, develop their professional skills and most of all, wants to help and connect with our members.  

You will be the direct link between IPSE and its members, driven by your desire to engage with people in our community and build relationships. 

You’ll work closely with your team and collaborate together to achieve the department strategy goals – retention, growth and brand awareness. Your compassion and willingness to go the extra mile for our members will ensure our high standards of customer service are upheld.

With your attention to detail you will maintain best practices when handling and processing member data. You are a problem solver, motivated to seek out resolutions and continuously develop your learning.   

The Membership Team is the heart of IPSE – we act as the voice of our members and are responsible for maintaining their satisfaction of their membership.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inbound telephone and email support for all member queries
  • Outbound calls to prospective members (warm leads only)
  • Maintain and update member data on the CRM
  • Process payments & refunds
  • Work with IT on any website/ CRM issues
  • Maintain clean data on the CRM and regular data clean-ups
  • Maintain knowledge of IPSE products and services
  • Act as an ambassador for IPSE

Ad-hoc duties:

  • Attend at least one in-person event annually
  • Assist with presenting membership webinars to partner networks
  • Support other departments with member-related queries/ projects
  • Any other ad-hoc administrative tasks as directed by manager

  • You’re a bit of a geek when it comes to systems and processes

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract to perm basis. We currently operate on a hybrid model between our central London office and remote home working.
